Layla Y. Mayorga Gonzalez is a Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy at Fordham University, specializing in Social and Political Philosophy, Pragmatism, and Technology and AI. Her research focuses on developing a phenomenology of citizenship and reimagining the relationship between human rights and surveillance rights. In addition to her primary research interests, Mayorga Gonzalez engages deeply with the works of Mexican philosopher José Revueltas, exploring his intersections with Western philosophy and German Idealism, as reflected in her recent work on undocumented immigration: Hegel and Me.
