Mariana Jesús Ortecho is an Argentine philosopher and researcher affiliated with CONICET and associated institutions such as the National University of Córdoba, whose work centers on decolonial theory, epistemology, feminist perspectives, and the intersections of body, territory, and knowledge production. Her writings, including contributions to the Inter-American Journal of Philosophy and collaborative pieces on Andean urban environments and embodied epistemologies, critically challenge colonial frameworks in social knowledge and advocate for plural, situated, and embodied ways of knowing. Through her explorations of subversive interpretation, ritual gnoseology, and decolonial methodologies, Ortecho has emerged as a key voice in contemporary Latin American philosophy addressing epistemic violence and transformative dialogues across diverse knowledges.
Papers and articles published in the Journal include:
- “Por un intento de subversión interpretativa: Una crítica decolonial a la forma de producir conocimiento social” (Volume 5, Issue 2 – Winter, 2014)
