Lara Trout is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Portland in Oregon. Her research interests involve applying philosophy to social justice issues – often drawing on insights from classical American pragmatism and liberatory epistemologies – with an ongoing goal of growing her decolonial sensibilities.
Prof. Trout has two publications with the Journal, namely:
- Ethical Corporeality and Synechism: A dialogue between Enrique Dussel
and C.S. Peirce in Volume 10, Issue 1 (Spring, 2019); and - María Lugones and White Hegemonic Feminism: Making a case for
humility in Volume 14, Issue 1 (Summer, 2023).
