
Crisóstomo is a political and social Brazilian philosopher, retired researcher and teacher from the Philosophy Department of Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), Brazil, with a PHD from Unicamp, São Paulo, and post-doctoral visits to UC-Berkeley (with Hubert Dreyfus), New School (Dick Bernstein), and Humboldt University (Rahel Jaegii). Beyond academy, Crisóstomo had a large experience in popular-democratic activism under the Brazilian Military Dictatorship (1964-1985).
